Why I'm Excited For Destiny 2

Hello CyberNinjas! Today, I just wanted to admit here that even though the hype train for Destiny 2 has come and gone, I'm still aboard it because I haven't bought the game just yet.  I'm really excited to get the game in my hands and go back to my Warlock and play a whole new story in locations I haven't seen before. From what I've seen, (spoilers included) the game looks great and everything looks fun.

An Actual Plot

One of the major reasons why I'm excited for Destiny 2 is because of the game actually has a cohesive plot! There's a clear villain, you know what you're doing in the story. Even though your Guardian never speaks a word, (That really bugs me that our Guardians are mute and Ghost speaks for us) they still have a place in the story. You see more from the vanguard and there are even characters tied to the 4 destinations that we'll be seeing in the game. There are a lot more cutscenes too (There's one in particular that I want to talk about in a future post) Overall, it looks like Bungie really tried to put a plotline into Destiny and I think it worked.

Guided Games

I don't know how raids will work in Destiny 2, but I have an idea that it's more than likely like Destiny 1 Raids. With the addition of Guided Games and Clans, I think more people will be able to raid, but I still think a large number of the community will be excluded because of time restraints, having to sync up times to raid with your buddies if you're not going to rely on Guided Games to fill your empty fire team slots. Of course, player elitism will always rear its ugly green head too, but at least solo players will have the chance to team up with other players in raids, nightfalls, and trials in-game and not have to leave the game to find people like we did back in Destiny 1.

Clans

I also like how clans are actually in Destiny 2 for a change. Clans get their own banner that they can create on Bungie's website and they show up in-game. The clans feature is still being rolled out, but it gives people who own clans (me) the ability to grow their existing clan. and for the community to be more social with one another. I think this is an excellent addition to Destiny 2 and I can't wait to see how it'll affect my clan.

All in all, I'm just stoked to play Destiny 2 in all of its glory. I'm ready to get lost in some new places and play with my buddies again. I know I'mnot the only one who isn't able to play Destiny 2 right now. Let me know what you guys think, do you share my excitement to play the game again or are you completely done wit Destiny 2?
