What is a Smart Home? A Smart Home is an internet connected home that allows its inhabitants to control their lighting, heating, and air, as well as other electronic devices in the home all from a smart home, Smart Hub, or a Computer. Sounds great, right?

Having a Smart Home also allows you to save on heating and cooling your home. When a family takes a long vacation to get away from the coming winter weather they can remotely lower the temperature enough not to warm the home, to keep all things inside safe from frost, but low enough to save on the energy bill. I know when we went out of town my mother would turn off the thermostat so it wouldn't turn on in the winter while we were away. She did the same thing in the summer. It would either be hot or cold when we returned home. A Smart Thermostat, connected to a Smart Hub linked to your smartphone allows any parent or person to set the temperature remotely to create the most welcoming temperature while you're away.

Smart Homes provide independence to those who may lost it and want to regain it, helping perform simple tasks at home with just the sound of their voice. Or family members can monitor their family members, making them feel safe or at ease while giving the individual the independence that they need.
